DG-380 Specs for Aluminum Dish

The spec for the DG-380 is "For up to 120 cm Steel dish (Max 37lbs)." but this is a steel dish, could you tell me if the DG-380 can handle a 4.5 or 5.5 aluminum dish? I could weight the dish and ensure that meets the 37lbs limit, but maybe you can tell me from your experience.

What happened?

Why have the specs been changed for the DG380? I bought this motor to turn a 1.2 meter dish. At the time of purchase, it was rated at 120CM. Now it is rated at 100CM. What happened to cause this change? Thanks. El Bandido

We try support your products. Attached is a review of the DG380 that has been posted on the Internet.
Now, what are we supposed to tell people about your products? Changing the specifications on a motor without an explanation is not a good idea. The customers deserve an explanation.
Thanks.
El Bandido

Hi There

I received a couple of question from people who have the DG380 on a 120cm dish with a QPH031 LNBF. They have indicated that the motor struggles to come back up from the West or East with this configuration. We changed the specs to be on the safe side until we do more testing to verify if it is a weight issue or a motor issue.

El Bandido, very nice review. Thanks

See my explanation above. For most of the people who both the DG380 they are satisfied with its performance.

BTW, from all the motors we have sold so far, the Sadoun PowerTech line have performed the best.

Stay tuned, I think the DG380 will become a star motor for many years to come. I really like the built-in Automatic backlash adjustment. No other motor has that.
