ALl requests have been processed. So if you have submitted a request, you can check the forum now. Click on Forums at the Top left hand corner. You will see a list of all the forums that you are subscribed to including the New Finds Club.

Sorry for the delay in processing the requests. Please allow 1-3 weeks for your request to get processed as we don't check the membership area that often.

Could some of the moderators check if they have access to the group membership request area? You can do that by clicking on your User CP and check the left menu for that option.

The only thing that comes to mind is that maybe you'd want to keep them "secret" so that the general public isn't viewing these new free channels and thusly prompting the content publishers into moving away from FTA format and encrypting (or moving them - i.e. the old C-Band days, I recall networks moving things around to keep people from watching their feeds before they were supposed to air)

    Just curious..

    Thanks guys!
You would think that if the channel (Feed) was in the clear, and not encrypted by the service or provider that they would know that the Free To Air People like us can pick them up. I guess they count on nobody Blind Scanning their boxes on a regular basis.

Does not make sense, if there was a hundred dollars laying on the sidewalk, of course someone is going to take it. I am sure they know that the FTA hobbyist can pick their signals up or at least you think they would by now.

So why not just encrypt the channels from the get go? Guess that would cost them some dollars for some extra services for them and they see that route not a theasable solution so try in the clear first. Nobody really knows the minds of some of these big corporations.

The $100 bill is not an accurate anology. It's more similar to a situation where you change the $100 bill into 10,000 pennies and scatter it around over a large enough area.

Basically, you are hoping that you will be able to collect most of the 10,000 pennies at a later point because each individual penny does not have enough value for anyone who finds it and they would not mount a massive search trying to find any other ones (not even knowing if there are any more to find).

And even this pennies analogy still does not address the fact that the feeds are monetized elsewhere. Whatever the end subscriber base of the end service is, it is not negatively affected by the few individuals that are able to find the occasional feeds.

Maybe not analogized right but you got what I meant.

    Better way of putting it.
