I’m new to a lot of this fta stuff and I well read all I can before posting. Reading this thread I see where a private new finds forum is needed and wise. So a few more post and I may submit my request.

As more people get into the hobby more people will post. The down side is, as with anything, the more of the general populace involved the greater the chances of "wagging tongues"

The Admin. asks that you have patience and give them 7 days, but when I requested to join, I believe it was over three weeks before I was accepted.
Someone else who requested membership around the same time that I did, remarked that they must not have accepted him, but the answer came back that the Administration has been busy, and they were trying to process them as fast as they could.
If you haven't been accepted in 7 days, don't take it personal, because it probably isn't. They are, honestly, busy.

Most likely, the forum software does not provide any kind of instant notification that there is a new request. I am guessing, this is why some requests do not get timely attention.
so maybe, then, ... if nothing happens for a long time with your situation(s) .. PM 'em
