Oppose proposed OHIO state sales tax on satellite subscriber
DISHNETWORK, DIRECTV, and 4DTV OHIO subscribers:
Call or email your OHIO state senator and inform them that you oppose the proposed state sales tax on your satellite subscription service.
THIS BILL WOULD: Impose a new tax of 5% on charges for direct broadcast satellite (DBS) television services.
While the bill proposes a sales tax on satellite subscribers, it does not impose the same tax on cable sunscribers. The industry feels this is an unfair treatment.
Sadoun you ought to see the taxes on the cable bill. Thats one of the reasons I went to DTV, but now there trying to tax that also, and eventually thell get to the FTA receivers. Well what else is taxed on.
I heard about this last week and for now just glad they are not trying to hit Texas yet. Water and electric bill have one up 30% just this month already. Whats next, the air we breath per cubic foot! :cry:
