Great - that helps a lot, thank you.

Is there a normal or assumed "field of view" from the dish location that would help identify potential sats?

For example, assuming I'm at about 39 N, 84 W, does that mean that my potential sats fall within about 71 W to 105 W ?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure I'm on the right track!

depending on line of site trees,hills buildings,etc. from that longitude you should be able to see from 30w to 137w.

Thanks that helps. I do have some trees on one side of the lot that could be a problem but I'll find out when I get there. Looks like my estimate wasn't quite wide enough!

I'm sure I'll have more questions along the way - having a lot of fun learning about it all!

Weard have to enter 1/2 for FEC. No auto.

I scanned 129W IA7 and could not find WhiteSprings.tv

After 5 attemps I manually entered the V-Pid and A-Pid + FEC 1/2 = green.

Auto for FEC = nothing have to enter 1/2 manually.

Level = 61%
Quality = 47% for 11964 only.

Your quality may be too low.Mine will do the same way,if the quality is too low.Try to tweak your dish and see if you can get a little higher quality reading and see if that does the job.Some receivers need a higher quality to scan it in than others.Other than that,it should scan in,because you have a lock on the transponder.Maybe someone else has an idea of what is wrong. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Mecury II

A Mecury II Receiver is what you should try to use if you have one to Pick up White Springs TV. Also check your Azimuth on your motor I totally re adjusted my dish it is now tilted in a way that I have never saw it tilted before and it is working 100 % correct picking up all channels from all sats. Also Guys if I had a C-BAND Dish would I pick up more channels with it?

123 don't have no network feeds but a few other sats do have some network feeds just won't say in open area if you are interested in what channels are up there apply for membership to new finds these questions will be answer there.but alot of channels on c band that would be of interest.
