lost Telstar 5

Hi,
I have a coship CDVB3188A receiver. It was working perfectly until about a month ago when I lost, I think one transponder, because we could not see some channels, but the rest of the channels were perfectly clear . Our sattelite has been on Telstar five all the time, and we are interested in watching Iranian channels.
(while we lost some chanels, we received some new channels over 100, which we did not have before).
In the process of getting back our favorite channels first I tried to setup the transponder, then modified other transponders, and finally Idid the unthinkable and I "Set factory defaults" with password 000000. Now no matter how many times I change the satellite toTelstar 5 and either through automatic or setting up the transponders (I downloaded the frequencies , tp numbers and SR, from Saudon site), when I exit the menu , the system goes back to User??-ku satellite and I can not get Telstar 5.
With this satellite I have a very few bad picture channels, because my dish is aimed at Telstar 5. How can I fix this problem. I have not change the direction of my dish or LNB, but we have had very severe weather condition in August and a lots of lightening. In case that it is matter, we live in Tucson Arizona, and it is Manson season.
Other questions.
1- My receiver has 16 Antenna Position, does it matter witch one I useto setup Telstar 5?
2- What is the correct settings for LNB, on or off? (according to manual 'off')
3- Is it realty matter what transponder number I use, as long as I put the right frequency, or I better let the system find them?. Thanks in advance for your help.

Moe Torabi,
Hi Torabi:

I'm not real familiar with COSHIP but here are some generic answers applicable to all receivers -- to answer your questions:

1) NO - as long as you configure the receiver to recognize your dish as the only dish; examples are "LNB 1", "MINI 1", "DISH 1" etc.

2) ON

3) NO

All that lightning you had worries me some - your LNB might be fried.
