SIGNAL LOST?

I recently installed a system with a Coship 2300 receiver. It's only been a week, but it has been working fine. Last night I got numerous SIGNAL LOST situations, then signal would return. I was using a channel on Transponder 18. I checked signal level and it was low and flucuating. I checked Transponder 17 which is the strongest and it was 82/98 and stable. I expect the situation was just weather , but it did not effect channels on Transponder 17. Do I need to FINE TUNE a little better or is this just something that can not be controlled? When I first acquired the levels were pretty good, just not sure if this was just weather or needing to tune better.

It is probably just the bad weather. Having said that, if you check all the transponders and notice the signal is quite a bit lower on the alternate polarity transponders -- in other words, if all the HORIZONTAL polarity transponders are good but the VERTICAL ones suck (or vice versa) then I would tweak the dish alignement.
