BEC 6600+ question .. about adding another Satellite...

Didn't play with this receiver for a while...

And can't recall now - if want to add another Satellite to the Satellite List, is it possible to do.. on screen.. with remote control.. - If so, how??

Or would have to add it via uploading new / edited file to the receiver?

...

Newsat1, 2, 3, seems to be there.. (that could be renamed easily after.. - i figured out how).. - but Can NOT figure out currently how to change 0.0 degrees on those to whatever other value.. ane "East" to "West" in them as well...

Refresh my memory please.. or give me a tip on how to.... - Thanks

OK.. figured something out..

On a NewSat1, etc - enter the sat's proper info.. and then - just connect the New feed you want to be there.. and enter the proper transponders / values..

Lol - and it works

Firmware update not working

Ive got a BEC 6600+CI and using the firmware update program and cable it just wont communicate. Ive tried straight through and null modem type cables but still wont communicate.

Any suggestions? Ive used same pc to program a Coolsat5000 and it worked fine. Just my BEC on the RS232 port seems not to work and I dont see anything in the menu's that would prevent this. Ive attached the BEC firmware program for your viewing.

Maybe you need to get the file loader that BEC recomends (or provides) to upgrade your firmware.
you also could have comunications port issues with your computer in the bio's settings, if your serial port just doesnt want to work for anything you could get a USB to Serial adapter and give that a shot.
