Hi folks,
I have recently acquired a Samsung DSR9000 Rev.D03, which appears to be designed for the North American market; no SCART, S-Video out, etc.
It's a nice receiver, but the software version it had (103) seemed way behind the DSR9000 versions I had found on Samsung's website (now gone). I made the mistake of uploading one of those and the unit now does not boot. The serial cable loader still works, so if I can find an image, I can bring it back up.
The unit has an iSkyCom logo on the front, and asks for Galaxy 10R when I select the menu item for software upgrades (the
European units want Astra instead). I think iSkyCom is a Korean content vendor who used to uplink software for Samsung. I have heard from a distributor (who never distributed these units) that no one is uplinking the software now.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find software for this unit? Samsung has not been of much assistance to date.
I am probably going to purchase a more modern unit with CI slots and digital audio out very soon, but I can't bear to be without Telstar 5...
I appreciate any help that anyone may have.
Thank you very much.
