VIStar 2000 GlobeCast

just ran across one of these units locally today. It is a GlobeCast Receiver with the matching access card. now when i plugged it into my existing setup on T5 it did a search and found around 12 channels only 3 were not scrambled. now how can I access the manual entry portion of this.

I am used to using SatCruisers and can not find away to get more channels to pop in.

also as a kicker i hooked it up outside next to the dish with my portable b/w tv on the a/v connections. it Rolled but was able to adjust the portable tv when i hook it up via coax or a/v in the house IT ROLLS. leading me to think its in PAL mode. but am unable to locate the option to switch it.

I can find no transponder data to access at all.......is the GlobeCast version of these receivers fixed so you can't use them elsewhere. Their website says you can i want to use it on G10R but the only manual you can download from their site is for a newer model.

I also do not have a remote any suggestion or ideas on where to obtain a remote that will work with this unit.

any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Without a remote you are pretty much out of luck. I don't know of any remote that is compatible with that receiver. Also, it may not be possible to manually enter transponder data. I have a Coship receiver that is sort of like that -- it was built for a particular broadcast provider and therefore has no manual entry features. This sucks but I guess that's how it is... The PAL mode feature you should be able to change back to NTSC but again, without a remote you cannot enter the menu and setup screens.

VIStar 2000 GlobeCast

I'm trying to setup the program for this receiver. I go to "Menu" , go to "System" and then I supposed to go to the "Setup" to setup the program but I don't see the "setup" buttom. Can anyone tell me how to make the "Setup" buttom to appear on the screen?? Is there any software that I can use or unlock to setup the program and where can I find it??

Please Help!!
