Pansat 2500a Receiver Problem or Software Problem?

Not sure if this is the right place for this question.

I just got a new Pansat 2500a and Finally got it setup on my C-band System with Dual LNB's.

Let me get the system Config out of the way first.

1.) C-band Receiver GI 550I Analog
2.) Pansat 2500a
3.) Power Divide Splitters 2
4.) Multi-switch

Ok if need more please let me know.

Ok I have gotten allot of the channels and Satellite setup I got around 58 channels setup.

I was messing around trying to get the NBC stations on AMC 4 in but am having problems so I decided to get the Vertical ones in got 2 of the Religious stations in both the same one.

This is where my problem happens, If I got the receiver on either of them and goto setup then Network Scan the receiver starts to freeze and it looks like a old video game Cart when it freezes.

Then the Receiver reboots, I tried the same thing I did when the receiver does this on a diffrent sat with the same channel selected and the same thing happens.

But if I try it with a diffrent station It doesn't happen, I have tried it over and over on diffrent channels and they all work fine no problem.

What I am wondering is this a Firmware problem or Receiver?

I tried it on other scans and one did it on one of the other scans.

Please let me Know ASAP so I can ship the receiver back if I have too.

I was Just Playing around with it some more and found out that if you pic another Satellite that the channel does not do it. The only time it does it is when you have the religious channel Selected and amc 4 selected it causes it. You can pic another AMC 4 channel and this problem doesn't happen either.

P.S. I have not Updated the Software on the Receiver it is the Factory Software.

That is indeed a weird problem. Let me ask you first why do you have a multiswitch? I gather you have only two receivers, the C-Band and the Pansat? Give us some detail on how you have things wired up.

Reason for Multi Switch

Ok the reason I have a Multi-Switch is my C-band system has 2 Lnb's one is for the Vertical Side and the other is for the Horizontal Side.

This reason I have it set up this way is this gets rid of the Polorizer Motor on the Feed. With this setup I can run more then 1 c-band receiver at the same time and have both V and H on all the Receivers instead of just 1 Polarity on the other receivers.

This gets to my Point of why I have the Multi-switch I am using it to combind the V and H so the pansat will change from V to H without me having to go into the Setup each time I want to change it

I see. When you said you had two LNBs I figured you had one for C-Band and one for KU.

I guess the only thing I can recommend is to try a factory reset on the Pansat. Its very strange that you get that problem on only the one channel on AMC4.
