Analogue & digital at the same time?

Hi,

we have an analogue system and are using it with about 7 other parties in the house. Not all want to have a digital receiver but at least 3 do.
I know we will have to do something on the switches cause they are only for analogue signals but what else?

My questions :

- do we need new parabolic antennas / dishes ?

- are ther LNBs that can be used for both analogue & digital ?

- do we need to change the wiring in the whole house for the digital users?

- is there a way to set up the whole system in the house , that the users can just hook up the type of receiver to theire sat wall outlet they like and it will work without any aditional work, kinda "plug and play" ? (since people move in and out often)

Hope someone has a fes seconds to help me out.

Please elaborate:

Are you using a big moveable dish or a fixed dish?
What satellite are you mostly interetsed in?
Are you using different receivers for each of the 7 people?
Do you have C and KU band? or just C? or KU only?
What kind of wiring do you currently have? RG6 is recommended for digital.

Thanks for the quick reply!

We have a 5 foot dish with a stand in concrete on the ground, it is moveable or rather turnable, not automatically though.

Each party has its own (and different) analogue receiver in their flat , the signal from the dish is "multiplied" and boosted in the basement into each flat (with each 1 connection point). Some want to keep their analogue receiver, some want to go digital.

Since I am (obviously) an amateur in this field, I have no idea about the wiring. Is the mentioned RG6 only a recommondation or a requirement ?
Further I have no idea about the band ... I will try to figure it out.

So, my idea in general was: Use LNBs that can do analogue and digital at the same time on one dish., then also install a switch and booster that can do both analogue and digital. Resulting in leaving the choice of analogue or digital to each party, depending on the receiver type they hook up.

Sorry to have so many questions, but eveybody starts at some point!
