What channels have no audio? Some channels are AC3 and cannot be processed by the BEC receiver. Other channels sometimes require you to switch between stereo/left/right -- use the AUDIO button on the remote to change modes. If you want to change the PID data manually you have to do this throught the TRANSPONDER SETUP menu, fifth line down on the TRANSPONDER SETUP menu. Its on page 20-21 of the manual but I guess you don't have one...

You should not have to update the software. When you reach the TRANSPONDER SETUP menu did you push OK? That should allow you to manually edit the numbers.

Hmmm... OK; the fifth line down in TRANSPONDER SETUP; it says SET PID. Try "arrow right" to enter the PID submenu.

PIDs

Sorry but in my transponder setup there is no such line-the fifth is frequency and the other standart setings like rate, polarity etc.

Well, that's totally weird. The manual I was quoting from is for a BEC 6600/6800 series; but not the CI models. Perhaps there is a difference. Sorry I cannot help you any further. Maybe you can download a manual for your receiver from the BEC website.

kat

But getting back to my earlier question; which channels are you getting no audio from?

OK what do you have in mind saying the BEC site-i know the Chaintec Taiwan site and Benjamin.com wich doesnt work-give me some hints please. About the channels-they have normal audio ,not Dolby surround(AC3) and othher receivers work fine with them.

OK; so you are getting normal audio but not AC3; that is all you will get. The BEC 6600 does not support AC3 audio channels. Very few other receiver models support AC3.

Ahhh...OK. That changes the whole meaning. Did you try doing a master reset yet? Perhaps that will restore your audio.
