Changeing from Telstar5 to another satellite

With my BED6600+ I cant seem to get any other satellites other than Telstar5. I go into the menu and change it to G10r, but when I go back and check, it defaults back to Telstar5, even after I select OK and it shows that its saving it.

Is there something Im doing wrong? My receiver show at Ver8.0 Do I need to do something in the Transponder menu?
Thanks

How do you set up the BEC? Slave to analog/4DTV, or thru switch for multiple fixed dish?

I've got the same receiver and have had trouble tuning in other sats. However, I was able to tune in another sat but I could only get 1 channel to come in clearly.

Once you input all the new satellite info in your receiver, scan the sat and select OK. Then back out of that menu screen and your channel list will not include any new channels you've picked up on the new satellite. Keep in mind when changing channels between sats, it can take at least a few seconds to get lined up and for the channel to come in.

Like I said, I still haven't figured this crap out. Arg!

LOL !!!

The manual for the 6600+ is quite well written - assuming you have the manual. It tells you how to add new satellites; its a little unconventional compared to other receivers but once you get the hang of it its OK. At the end of the satellite list there are 5 or 6 "User Defined" satellites - use one of these for G10R.

PS: The 6600+ has a unique feature of turning the signal strength and quality bars from white to yellow when you lock onto the desired satellite; this is a cool feature IMHO.

Thanks....getting the hang of it

Yes, I have so far figured out going into the transponder menu to find a new satellite while moving the dish and watchin the white bars go to yellow is the key. Just need to get updated on the list of what Ku sat's this system will aquire. So many satellites, most are C-band and analogue on my old BUD dish and not sure where they all are anymore.
But learning...Thanks for all the info...this is fun.
