GI 2700R (or series) RESET?

I have been setting up a recently aquired GI 2700R without the benefit of a full manual. All I have is the little that satelittehelp.com has on their site.

While setting up this receiver with my 9 motorized BUD, I started the process of setting the East & West limits. The East settings went fine and when I move the dish to the West limits, stalled at the end of mechancal travel due to the mechanical limit switch being incorrectly set. Before I could reverse direction, the GI 2730 locked up. No response to the remote. SAT, C-Band & right Channel Lites are on. Neither EAST or WEST or Channel front panel buttons work. I can switch between SAT/TV and some minor functions inside the front door (all they do is turn on/off their function light.

I noticed a circuit breaker on the back and tried pushing that, No noticeable change. I have tried pushing/holding different combinations of front buttons to effect a reset. No luck.

I even opened the top cover and looked for a fuse or some other clue but nothing there either.

I hate to give up on this box since I want to use it with my GI 905 side car. The 2730 appears to have much better, user friendly feature an any other boxes I have played with.

Could someone tell me if there is a "Hard Reset" procedure for this situation??

Steve

2730R Reset?

Yes, I have tried unpluging it for several hours. Also I have tried various power-up while holding down the power button or other buttons combinations.

Thanks,

Steve
