Satworks 3688 Question

Anyone know how to add satellites to the Satwork 3688 receiver?
I believe there is a serial port but not sure what the term settings are or even if I can add it from there.
It's hard to believe that the latest firmware is actually missing some sats such as Nimiq2.
It's otherwise a great receiver and the blind search is awesome! I can't imagine trying to input every freq to find those feeds.

Any updates would have to be as a result of firmware upgrades but the 3688 is a blind search receiver so don't need that. Line up the dish do a blind search and it will find all the channels on the satellite.

Yes, I understand that but the problem is that the sat list is missing Galaxy3C and I can't ad or rename any of the sats. I have to display it as a sat that it is not.

My brother picked one up for $25 us at a garage sale today. No manual but it boots up.

I have a lot of experience now with the receiver.
If he bought one for $25 that is, needless to say, a great price.

The 3688 is a fairly new receiver which does blind scan to find the active transponders for you. Depending on when that unit was received, you need to upgrade the firmware to fix some bugs.
Upgrading is easy. All you need is a standard serial cable and some software available on the internet. A special program is used to do the uploading of the new firmware.
