Coship 2300

I have a Coship 2300 that I have been using for about 10 years. I recently had signal loss and was trying to isolate the problem. I only use it for Telestar 5 for VTV4 from Vietnam. While troubleshooting, I did a factory reset. I now get some channels fine, but not VTV4. I also have a Pansat set up in another room and it is working fine. Signal level in the 90 range and good quality. I swapped places with the boxes and Pansat works great in new room but Coship still only gets some channels, VTV4 shows no signal. When I go to channel setup I have tried to select a transponder that has good signal, but it seems the box will not accept any changes. I get great signal on TP14 on the Pansat and when I go to TP14 on the Coship it shows level in high 90 range, but as soon as I exit out it defaults back to TP1 where there is no signal. Even at TP1 I can get many channels, just not what I am looking for. Hope someone can tell me how to get the Coship to save TP I select so I can get VTV4 again on the Coship. On the pansat when Antenna setup changes are made you press select then exit and it tells you it is saving your changes. I try that on the Coship but it does not save the change. If I can get it to accept a TP change I am confident it will get VTV4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have no manual and this model has not been made for years. Hopew someone has one and can help me.

TP numbers are different between receivers. Since you did a factory default, chances are that your receiver does not have the VTV4 transponder as it's newly added to the satellite (2005).
You want to make sure you have frequency 11966 stored into your receiver. If not, then you'll have to add it. (network configuration .. Add TP) then scan it.

There is no way to change the default transponder on coship. This does not mean you do not have the better signal you see on other transponder. The transponder is there but the receiver goes back to the default transponder for showing overall signal. of course you can delete TP1 to have TP2 as a default (still TP1).
