Fortec Ultra Died - Help planning wake?

Loaned my 'retired' Ultra to a neighbor - it was working fine but apparently the lights went out during the night. He had been warned not to change connections without first turning back switch off but who knows. Ultra now will not turn on, period. Nothing - nada. I checked there is 110v going to power supply ok. Don't see a fuse. Front on/off button does nothing. Is there, by chance, anything that can be done short of sending it in for repair or tossing it in garbage? Some special key sequence that would bring it back? ANYTHING? Thanks, guys.

The fuse on the power supply is close to the input 110volts and is a can type. Must check it with an ohm meter 110volt cable disconnected.

Had my hopes up for a minute there, but the fuse is fine.
Has been suggested that J-tagging it may bring it back. I'll have to learn how to do that but I did find a bunch of docs on it. Is there a reasonable chance this might fix it? Thanks.
