7.5' Big Dish Install Question

Dear All,

I just wanted to drop by and ask a question about a problem that I am having setting up my big dish system. I have a 7.5' Mesh dish that I have fitted with a Chaparral Corotor II Plus Feedhorn that has a 25K C-Band LNB and a 0.3 db Panasonic KU Band LNB attached to it. The Feedhorn and the KU Band LNB are brand new, but my C-Band LNB is old (however I know it is still in great working condition). I have also attached a regular DBS LNBF and a Circular DBS LNBF to the dish. I have attached it to a Uniden SQ560 to control Polarity and to move the dish. I am currently scanning sats using a Coolsat 6000.

What I am trying to do is to pick up all kinds of FTA satellites along with Dish Newtork and Directv (as I subscribe to international programming on both). Instead of having many small dishes, I just want to use my big sat to do all in one. The problem that I am having is that I am not able to lock any C-Band or KU Band Sats. I am able to lock all DBS sats perfectly and so I know the arc is set correctly, but when i point to a C or KU sat, nothing locks. I am not sure what the problem is. Here are some things that I have done:

1. I have tested the servo motor my attaching it directly to the receiver and it works. I can also hear it outside when someone is inside switiching the polarity.

2. I have adjusted the f/D ratio to 37 as that is what I calculated based on my dish measurements. I have tried manuplating that and I am not seeing anything.

3. I have tried adjusting the voltage settings on the Coolsat for the C-Band sats. What should this setting be? There is Off/On/13V/18V. I know the servo motor gives +/- 5V, but I am not sure what the receiver should be set to. I know the C-Band LNB needs about 14V/18V.

4. I started from the middle of the arc at 91 W Nimiq 1. I am able to pick up thd DBS singal strong at 91W, but I am not able to lock the C-Band at G17 at 91W.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea about what I am doing wrong. I know it is probably something simple, but it is driving me crazy, LOL as I know it shouldn't be too hard. I actually used to use my big dish with just a C-Band feedhorn along time ago (with the C-Band LNB that I am trying to use now) to pick up channels on 58W. I had at the time a Samsung DSR 2700 FTA Receiver, and it used to pick up 58W perfectly without even using the servo motor. I know that I didn't use the servo motor becuase I didn't have any ribbon cable at the time. I don't know how it worked, but it used to work. Then I moved and I never played around with C-Band or KU band on the big dish ever since. Any help would be appreciated. I can take pictures and post them if that would help. Thanks!

No, I have all the LNBs hooked into the Coolsat 6000 via an ABC Switch. However, when I am outside working on it I hook each lnb up individually to the Coolsat when I am working with it. Nothing is running through the Uniden.
