DG-240: How much can it handle?
I have a DG-240 Motor with a 33 inch FTA dish. Works like a charm but I would really like a stronger signal so I want to upgrade to a 36 inch dish or bigger. Does anyone out there know what is the biggest dish my DG-240 can handle? I would like to go even bigger then 36 inch but don't want to buy another motor.
Thanks
Bob

Add the 50mm tube and it will handle the 100cm dish. I got one on a 36" dish now with the tube it came with and it has no problems moving it. will being installing one on my 100cm shortly.

Bought a 50MM tube and 100 CM Dish
Ok, I bought the 50 MM tube and an Ariza (Model AT90-1) 100 Cen Dish (39 inches). After putting the dish together, it does not look like the mount is designed to handle a motor. There is a bolt on top that would block the motor from sliding in. Can anyone tell me if I need a new mount for this dish? I looked all over the net for better instructions and could not find any. It's very possible I put this thing together wrong. If anyone can lead me to a photo of a correct set up, it would be awesome!!! I did do a lot of checking here first and could not find one.
Thanks
Bob

pole mount on motor
Ok, I got a new DG280B and when I pulled it out of the box, I didn't see the hole at the top of the pole that allows the dish to mount to it with that bolt I think you are talking about. The more I looked at it the more I realized that the hole was not drilled completely through the tube on the motor. I taped it with the bolt and the paint popped off and the bolt slid through the hole... check that pole, it may just not have had a hole completely bored out...

Dish Mount
Thank you Vitruvius!! I went up my ladder and sure enough, there are 3 places on the tube of the motor that look like potential holes. Also, the 50MM tube has a hole at the end of it. It all makes sense now. Thanks for your help. This really is a great forum!!!

Arc Limits
I believe the farthest East I can reach is around 75 Degrees and I can go as far as 148 Degrees West. I can get every Echostar but the 61.
