    Satellite signal disappeared

I finally got my 39" motorized dish installed, on the side of my house, mounted to a very rigid sil plate. I locked in on a true south satellite and eastern and western satellite. Then I did the "all satellite search" which was successful. I browsed the channels on each of the satellites and the signal on all of them was 90 and quality was 70+. Then I programmed in a couple of eastern sats e.g. 34.5 West Intelsat 903 Ku-Band, etc.. Sats that are not pre-programmed into the Sathawk PVR800. I was getting no signal on 3 or 4 sats that I tried, figuring that maybe I won't on the most eastern sats, even though I have a clear view. Then I went to the sats that I previously programmed that were pounding a signal before. None of them had a signal! And I varified that all of the sats had no signal. The dish moves just fine. I went out back to make sure that the dish mount pole didn't drop or somthing. It seemed ok. What the heck is going on here. I did not do any firmware updates, so that is not a factor. Any ideas anyone?

these sat's are "W" satellites, must be input as west in your receiver.

    doug900,

Some of those eastern birds 15 W - 58W don't carry much if any FTA TV. I have tried numerous times over the past few years and the ones that constantly can be relied upon are Telstar at 15W and Hispasat at 30W for FTA TV programming. The others may give you a signal on your satellite meter, but when you blindscan them, you may not find any FTA channels. Check Lyngsat for these Eastern Sats and see what they list.

To help out, a few questions: are you using DiSeQc or USALS? What type of motor are you using?
