I'm in Birmingham, AL (86.7W) and the best I can do is Intelsat 3R at 43W to Galaxy 27 at 129W.

I could probably go further west, like to 148W but I can only get Ku linear. I have dish placement issues that prevent me from seeing the horizon. but I'm happy to get what I can given that my equipment is an old Primestar dish with a Hughes FSS LNB mounted on a no-name motor and Fortec Lifetime half-panel receiver.

Telle-Satellite/Broadband used to have a viewing calculator in the Satcodx chart information that gave you all the satellites visible from your location, I'm not sure if its still part of there satellite information.

In my instance I should be able to see from 148.0W to 69.0W but in reality with the tall mountains in the way I'm lucky to see 79 degrees from my location. Some properties I've installed at locally could not see past 101.0W looking east, they were closer to the base of the mountain but a property across the valley could see all the way to 72.0W but on the other side nothing past 131.0W to the west.

Please don't PM me directly for information, answers to almost all your questions are in the FORUMS.
    Some reading is required.

    Ends of the arc

I am at 75.8 long, 40.4 lat with the horizon in all directions with little or no obstructions. So far my arc ends at about 127 W. I checked the bouquets of the birds beyond 127 and very little if any FTA stuff so that works out fine.

As far as where my arc begins I have been able to get to 61.5 W, but I think I can go lower. Have to check on Lyngsat to see if there is anything interesting below that. I do want to get Amazonas if possible.

Oh, by the way, I noticed that my H-H motor will not go to 148W or 15W, not sure why.
