Yes, the DiseqC 1.2 lets you manually find the sat, and then save that position. It is less user friendly, but it is capable of getting better results in cases where either your motor is out of sync, or your lnbf arm is a bit bent. USALS is basically one additional DiseqC command, which is a goto X, where X = some angle. To impliment USALS, the receiver must calculate the proper angle based on your lat/lon, and the sat lon. USALS is much simpler, and is recommended for first time users.

No. Big
C-band receivers can do that, but I haven't seen any of these DVB receivers that could do that. It would be a nice feature though, and I wouldn't think it would be too terribly hard to impliment.
