LED in motor off?

I have the new Mecury II receiver...trying to install the dish, motor and receiver. After I turned on the receiver, the LED (green) lights on for 5 seconds or so and then dies out. The manual button does not function....is there something wrong with the receiver or motor?

Thanks.

yes

I think so. the receiver I was looking at is exactly (except the latitude and signal levels (0, of course in my case) etc.) as

http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Fortec-Star/Receivers/MercuryII/MercuryII%20(7).JPG

When I hook up the satellite finder, it indicates there is power.

By default, the LED light should be on all the time on the moter, right?

Get a Paper Clip or something that thin and on the Motor you'll see a Reset...stick that pin in there (hole) and try a reset.

Also, verify that you have good connectors on the coaxial cable wth no shorts or partial contact.

OK...this is the answer...I replaced the coaxial cable with a new one from HomeDepot...problem fixed....spent a couple of hours in aligning the dish, now enjoying the new Chinese channels from Satmex 6.

Thanks, everyone.
