Sadoun Digipower SG2100 Problem

Hello All, I just purchased the following:

1. A Fortec Star 90CM/36" Dish
2. Digipower SG2100 motor
3. Invacom QPH-031

After getting everything setup I couldn't get my receiver to move the dish when I tried to move it with the button on the motor the motor would not move and just made a load grinding noice.

I assume it's a defective motor and have requested an RMA number - anyone else have any other thoughts?

Also after having read some of the posts here it appears that I should really upgrade to a SM3D22 Satcontrol Motor Does anyone know if that is possible? or who I would contact to find out?

The folks at Sadoun's have always treated me well. I imagine if you asked for the other motor and was willing to pay the difference if any they would exchange out when your defective motor was received in and verified. I do not work for nor am I speaking for anyone at Sadoun's. Just my thought.

Well, this weekend I requested an RMA number for SM3D12, because it often moves to east limit instead of given sat, and gets stuck there.
So I think opposite: Satcontrol is worse than SG2100 .
If they both are equally unreliable, we would say "Stab HH120 is the best", or what?

SM3D12 is the older version of SM3D22

atmusky, disconnect your SG2100 motor from the receiver (which receiver are you using?).

Check your settings in the receiver.
Reconnect the motor, and try using DiSEqC 1.2 Go to reference command.
