you may want to check your receiver viewsat don't have the best track record for moving dish motor correctly.
Equipment:
ViewSat MaxHD
Digipower SG2100
Chieta 4-in-1 switch
The Digipower 2100 motor will not respond promptly to commands. That is, I have to push East or West on the remote twice in rapid succession to get it to move. Likewise, pressing Stop on the remote twice quickly is the only way to stop it. Without physically watching the dish I can't tell if it is actually moving or not, nor if it has stopped. Also, when the satellite meter is connected and I press the motor button to move the dish, it will move only west. Pressing the button twice to move east results in a start then sudden stop. The meter also goes "dead" for a couple seconds after this like it is resetting or something. This happens when the meter is between the receiver and motor, and between the LNB and motor. The dish moves both directions without the meter in the equation. It appears the motor is faulty, but I'm open to suggestions. The motor was purchased from Sadoun a little less than a year ago, I think. Thank you all for your help.

But it won't move east when the button on the motor is pressed and a sat meter is in-line. See original post. Would the VS cause that problem? It worked perfectly (remote control and manually) until recently.
