Question QARL-3624 Actuator and Motorola DSR-922

on edit-if this is in the wrong section, please move it.

The DSR-922 is not new, but the QARL-3624 is. I have replaced the actuators before, but have encountered a problem that I have never seen and cannot work around.

My limits, East and West, cannot be changed. I cannot do it manually by moving the actuator in and out-while not connected to the dish, itself and I cannot seem to power in and out. I repeatedly get the "you have reached the limits of the dish movement".

The East and West limits are the same as the dish's position.

How do I fix this? Thanks for the time and help.

receiver needs to get the pulses on the sensor lines otherwise you'll get that reading.

Are those hooked up?

If it is hooked up - for a goof flip the wires over on that sensor

In the DSR 922 click options then 6,4,3 then click on which limit you want to change with the up and down arrow the use the side arrows to adjust the limits.

That is where I am stuck. As soon as I try to move East or West, I get an immediate stop and the message "you have reached the limit of the dish's movement". The current dish position, the East and West limits are are like 3544, 3545 and 3543. I cannot move either direction to reach a point of setting a new limit.

I took the actuator off. Took a 12 volt battery jumper and placed wires in the M1M2 connections. I can manually run the actuator arm in and out.

I even tried to have everything hooked up, wires, actuator to dish and manually turn the actuator in and out to get to a point of being able to reset the limits, but that failed, too.

I cannot get to a point of being able to move at all, to reset my limits.

another thing you can try is a soft reboot on the receiver by unplugging it for a few minutes then plug it back in and let it reboot.

Thanks for the ideas and help. I will unlplug the receiver and I will check the voltage change and presence of pulses. It is raining here, now and we are to get up to eight inches. The actuator is in the dry and will get back out there soon.
