Motor losing power?

I just bought an antenna package that included a SG2100 motor. I am using a Viewsat 2000 Ultra receiver. When I turn on the power the green led on the motor will come on for about 3 seconds, then blink red and go out. I can manually move the motor while the green led is on but it will not do anything after it goes out. I have tried it connected and disconnected to the LNB and with two different receivers (same model) and with three different cables ranging from 20'-75'. Do I just have a bad motor or is there another possible problem?

New development. I tried a different cable and the motor now works. However while working with it I turned it to 75 degrees east and can't get it to turn back. When I cycle the power off and then on the green light comes on on the motor but as soon as I try to move it, either manually or with the remote the LED turns orange and the motor will not turn. HELP!!!

Question How did you fix it?

I'm wondering how to get mine working again.
