    why go to motorized

I am new to Fta and as a technology lover am excited to step up to the next level and try a motor. I am really hiped to see what the sky of satellites has to offer for free fta tv. If my budgit could afford this I would be there. Gary

A motorized dish is the (for me) cheapest, and easiest way to enjoy all that there is to be seen from around the world.

    Wink Why HH motor?

DXing the Clarke Belt.....you never know where that new signal will come from. Do it all with just one dish

    Why my idea?

Why is it a good idea to use an HH motor on your FTA Dish?

Here at my residence at -79.4 Deg West, I can scan from 30 Deg, to 129 Deg. which includes about 20 + Satellites. That is only the Ku Band which is all that I am set up to receive.

If I were set up to receive C-Band also, I would more than triple my TV [FTA] reception.

When I was considering my purchase of FTA equipment, An HH Motor was a must, and it still is.

    Thanks
    Bill

    Reply to THAT message...

I'd say that using an HH motor is a good idea because once installed, you don't need to go outside in the rain or snow to move your dish anymore.
