New to C-band, how do I know....

I have an 8' dish that was here when I moved in and would like to get it working again. What do I need to know to determine the proper actuator for the dish. How do I know what voltage I need ( 24 or 36v) and the length 18 24 or 36"? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

with a 8 foot dish you can get away with a 18" actuator but I would recommend a 24" for a little extra travel. most of the older actuator were 36v.

I have nothing other than the dish so I'm starting from scratch.

What I have planned is a Bcs621 lnbf with a Dsr920 or 922 receiver and a VCII module but haven't determined the actuator yet. My question would be will the 36v unit work with this setup? Thanks again

yeah it will work just find with the DSR 920 and 922 if you haven't got the receiver yet I would recommend the 922 as it will do more freq than the 920.
