SG2100 USALS (DiSEqC 1.3) or not?

O.K., We all know Stab Invented USALS and Probably has the name patented so no other manufacture can us it unless they bought license rights. The SG-2100 H-H states DiSEqC 1.2 in the manual, BUT........
Also in the SG-2100 manual on the bottom of page 4 (english version) it states" Just input the longitude, some receivers can drive the antenna to aim the right Satellites automatically". Isn't this the same as USALS? :?

This is what I am trying to find out too... I Have a pole-mount Fortec 90cm and I read that I can only use the Motech SG2100. If I get this, and USALS doesn't work, that means I have to position the Eastern most sat and the Western most sat right? What about the closest to my True south satellite?

Even with the USALS, you still have to follow the instruction of aiming your dish at due south first, then most East/West sats. The USALS simply calculates and moves your dish to the sat position base on your LAT/LONG. It's just a convenient function. At the begining, if one does not set the mount and dish elevation correctly, USALS will miss the rest of the sats.
The bottom line is with or without the USALS, one must set everything correctly in order to track the arc.
With USALS, it will move the dish to other sats automactically.
Without USALS, one has to move the dish manually.

What I have questioned in the past is if the SG2100 is USALS or not. The manual does not stat it possibly due to Stab having licensing/patent rights and they do not manufacture the SG2100.
BUT...... I have the SG2100 hooked up to a Fortec Lifetime receiver that is USALS, and have it programmed in the USALS mode. This works.
SO..... Is everyone who has a SG2100 but me only using it in the DiSEqc 1.2 mode because they do not know that it will work in the USALS mode?
I have asked this question before but no one responded. Yes, DTSexpert, It should be understood by all before buying ANY satellite receiver system that it is critical to have TRUE south and all calculated angles correct.
In your opinion, is SG2100 USALS or not?

I use a Fortec 786v3 receiver with this mount and did try the Diseqc 1.3 but could not make it work so I had to program my receiver manually. So far, I have seen mixed reports, some said it works while the others said not.
So for those who plan to take advantage of the USALS, they should buy a STab H-H mount.
Personally, I think the USALS is a nice function to have, but it is not a must.
You can set up a H-H mount to track the arc correctly without it.
For me, I always have good time to play with sat stuff so I don't mind programing the mount manually. Plus, I still think setting up H-H mount in the old way is a chance for me to learn about tracking the arc.
It's like if you know to drive stick shift, then automactic becomes easy...:-)
Well, just my personal opinion.
Michael
