I use a Fortec 786v3 receiver with this mount and did try the Diseqc 1.3 but could not make it work so I had to program my receiver manually. So far, I have seen mixed reports, some said it works while the others said not.
So for those who plan to take advantage of the USALS, they should buy a
STab H-H mount.
Personally, I think the USALS is a nice function to have, but it is not a must.
You can set up a H-H mount to track the arc correctly without it.
For me, I always have good time to play with sat stuff so I don't mind programing the mount manually. Plus, I still think setting up H-H mount in the old way is a chance for me to learn about tracking the arc.
It's like if you know to drive stick shift, then automactic becomes easy...:-)
Well, just my personal opinion.

BUT...... I have the SG2100 hooked up to a Fortec Lifetime receiver that is USALS, and have it programmed in the USALS mode. This works.
SO..... Is everyone who has a SG2100 but me only using it in the DiSEqc 1.2 mode because they do not know that it will work in the USALS mode?
I have asked this question before but no one responded. Yes, DTSexpert, It should be understood by all before buying ANY satellite receiver system that it is critical to have TRUE south and all calculated angles correct.
In your opinion, is SG2100 USALS or not?
