Korean FTA
Ok, so I'm new at this. What I'm looking for is Korean/Chinese FTA, and is it worth, for me, to purchase the equipment to pick these channels up? I know some channels are available by purchase from Dish network, but I see this FTA, and I'm wondering if it's worth the money to purchase the equipment, and how reliable the channels are?

Hello, Gesuhan!
For short, RELIABLE ≠ (not equal) FTA.
For example, 3 KISB channels from IA5 were scrambled last week, but now, I see, two of them are back FTA! If you want to receive these channels uninterrupted, you need to subscribe to Globescast:
http://www.globecastwtv.com/ch_kisb01.htm
With FTA, you will have more choice to view other channels, and will see KISB for some time too, nobody knows how long, maybe, 2 months, maybe 4 years.
Compare it with SW radio listening - sometimes reception is good, sometimes there is a magnetic storm, or frequency changes, and you are listening something else, if any. The choice is yours.
76 - 100 cm dish and KU linear LNB from Sadoun will work with both Globecast receiver and FTA receiver

Korean FTA
Thanks all, that gave me a little more insight on FTA. Not too sure I want to buy something that is going to be sometimes off, sometimes on. Subscription may be the way I really want to go.

fta is not for everyone but if you enjoy finding different feeds from around the world fta is the way to go. great for live sports and news feeds also.

CTS is supposed to be on IA5. That is my main reason for tangling with FTA.
