Stab 120, does it work with long cable length?

Is there a limitation on the RG6 cable length, connected from Fortec 6000 to Stab 120 HH (120cm dish), about 235 ft length? I have yet to make the dish move. and record a signal of the universal LNBF, from this distance. Since Stab motor gets its electrical from RG6 cable, could it loose electrical sensitivity on lengthy cable runs?
I recently purchased the total system, but my time and weather on the east coast is unfavorable. Also I have connected a line amp from LNB to Stab motor, still no sign of operation. Once weather cooperates, I plan to move receiver next to dish for fine tuming. Any recommendations?????

Note: Dish is monted near my motorized 10 ft dish, I wanted to keep all sat dishes near each other. I have never experienced difficulty from 235 ft, and have always used a line amp for C and KU LNB. I know the receiver works since I used a spare 90cm dish near house, and it registered a signal with a standard LNBF.

Rambo,
The distant between my receiver and my Stab 100 is around 100ft and I have never had any problem at all. Not sure about 235ft.
Did you test the your cable, connection? Try to connect the cable to your working dish, cband or fixed Ku dish, to make sure it works.
You tested the receiver with your fixed dish and it works OK, but you did not test the Diseqc 1.2 capability, right? Perhaps, something wrong with the receiver Diseqc 1.2 controller.

Before obtaining this new equipment, I have fine tuned my 10' dish c/ku reception, since I want to use c band capability with this new equipment. Yesterday, I hooked up the new sat receiver with tv next to dish/stab motor. It does work, however 0 quality, 70 signal. I even sent an e-mail to stab in Italy, for a solution to 235'+ cable run, they have yet to respond. Very unhappy

Rambo,
For long cable run, I have heard that RG11 is more suitable than RG6.
Have you consider trying RG11? If it still does not work, the only option left is moving your ku dish closer to your house...:-(

RG11 will give you better signal readings - but its expensive as hell. 235 feet of RG6 should not be a problem - at least for signal - not sure about the motor control voltage though - but in theory C-Band actuator arms use 36 VDC and this voltage seems to travel along miles of cable without any problems. Set the motor up first by carefully following Sadoun's instructions on the website.

235 ft plus does work, plus an additional line amp. Problem I had, was derived from poor connections at stab motor, using screw type connectors that came with motor. I replaced them with standard crimp type connectors. Now motor turns with no loss of signal

Yeah those thread on connectors SUCK !!!

The first thing I do whenever I run across them is cut them off and replace with proper crimp type or compression type F56 connectors
