SG2100 baught, trying to setup in Toronto

Hi I just baught a Motech SG2100, I read on your installation site, that to calculate the Declination for the Dish, it is 40 - declination angle in chart.

I also purchased a 75cm KU dish from Horizon Technologies, it is a 30 degree offset dish.

My Latitude is: 43.4 (approx)
My Longitude is: 79.23 (approx)

I have set the SG2100 Elevation tab to 43 - 44 Degrees
I have set the Dish based on the table to 30 - 6.6 = 23.4 This is based on instructions in the Motech book,

Sadoun, you put on you installation instructions http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...stallation.htm that its 40 degrees - declination angle, so according to you calculations I should be setting the dish for 40 - 6.6 = 33.4 Degrees.

Can you please clarify, if I should be using 23.4 or 33.4. I have the LNB at 0 degree tilt. And am facing 190 degrees(compass) for true south. Since Toronto you are suppossed to add 10 degrees to compass heading.

Hmm.. I read your comments on the Plastic Gears on the SG2100, should have baught the USALS one. Oh well.. will buy that one next.

I'm in Toronto and last week I installed an HH100 motor by following Sadoun's instructions to the "T" -- result -- perfect alignment and arc tracking. Use his formula and you won't go wrong.

BTW - dish LNB offset is irrelevant since the manufacturer accomodates for this on the graduated elevation scale.
