Problem with my hh-100 motor

Hello

I have a hh-100 motor, a fortec 1 meter dish and a vp1020a card.

The problem I have is simple. I'm not able to rotate the dish with the motor.

Here is what I know as far.

If I disconnect the lnb, then the motor rotates. I did a couple of researchs and I saw that this could be a power problem. I had a 300 watts power supply. I bought a new one, a 420 watts.

I also saw that it could be the connectors, so I did change them.

My rg6 cable is brand new and is about 125 feet. I also have to tell you I have a sg2100 motor that works great with my setup. I change the motor because the hh-100 handles better a 1 meter dish.

I don't know what could be wrong with my setup. Any idea.

Best regards

Hello

Just to answer to myself, I went to my cable store and ask for a high quality rg6 cable.

They sold me one, I change it and it works!

So it was the cable. I can see that the stab hh-100 motor is much more demanding in power than the sg2100 I had.

I have a similar problem. Could you tell me, please, what is a cable store? How do I find one?

Hello Les

I went to an electronic in Quebec where I live with the hh-100 book and showed them the specification of the cable for 100 feet or more.

They told me I needed a superior quality cable and they sold me a cable for a company named belden.

They told me it was a better quality.

I also changed my power supply for a 420 watts and made brand new connectors.

Hope this help, good luck
