    Hispasat @ 10.2° Elevation

Hello. I am in Duluth, MN, and would like to receive Hispasat, at least temporarily just to check it out. I have an 80cm dish and STAB HH120 H-H positioner. Is it possible for me to set the positioner up to see this low? Or would I have to mount the dish sans the positioner?

    Thank you.

10.2 is not viewable from your location, its below the horizon

No, it's at 10.2° elevation above the horizon. Normally you'd say it's at about 30° W.

sorry man, i didnt read the titles correctly, 10.2 elevation is real hard to get anyway, but 80cm is barely enough for the size, you may be able to get it, i tried getting a satellite at 11.0elevation, i spent 3 hours tring to get it, i never did

To determine the dish size you need to see how strong hispasat signal is in dbw in your area. And for 10 degrees you need a clear view of sky and to be almost free of any immediate obstructions. I saw the footprint and for Duluth it seems to be between 45 or 46. According to Sadoun's chart an 80cm MIGHT do it. 90cm and over should do it.
