SM3D12 off n degree after rain

My motor off 8 degree to the west after a rain last week. And it agin off 4 degree to the east after yesterday's rain. This motor worked well in the first 3 months. Any body has the same issue? Is this quality problem?

    Hi,

I just had the same problem - not sure if it was to do with rain or not - but my motor would set the position 10degrees too far east, so a command to go to 0 would point the dish at 10e.

I'm using a ss2 and the ss2diseqc plugin. In order to force a reset, I selected "goto stored position 0" (NOT goto 0 degress, that would just point it at 10e).

When you issue that command, it drives to the extreme east, then back to 0e/0w. Once that was done, everything worked fine again!

    Hope that helps someone....

    Hi, rainman!
What is dielectric grease? Will teflon paste for plumbing work the same way?
There are no rains yet here, but I need to prepare the system for the winter season someday.
