SG-2100 & Traxis DBS-2500 ? ?

I've just installed a SG-2100 motor to my system and it tracks the arc beautifuly. My reciever is a Traxis DBS-2500 and when I attempt to do an "Antenna Installation" and set the DisEqc to "motor" the dish moves about 5 to15 degrees. I then move the dish to the desired Sat. with the reciver controls, getting high qualty levels. I then attempt to scan the sattelite and as soon as scanning starts the dish moves about 7 degrees off the bird so I get nothing. If I do the above drill but turn the DisEEqc off before scanning the dish doesn't move and I get and save all the channels no problem.
I've tried everthing I can think of including a motor reset with out any change or success.
I've called the vendor I bought the motor from and they called the Distributor and they said there were "no known problems and the units should work perfectly"
Anybody have this combination?
Anybody got any ideas?
