azimuth

Latitiude = 36.0 N
Longitude = 86.6 W

I currently have a stationary dish on Telstar 5 and I am adding an HH100. I am having problems determining the azimuth.

My true south satellite is AMC3 (87W) which should be 183 degrees on my compass after 3 degrees mangetic deviation. Telstar 5 is almost the same location but it measures 187 degrees (when it should be less than AMC3). Am I doing something wrong?

AMC3 is at 87W
T5 is at 97W

So T5 is "about" 10 degrees more, so by you seeing it at 187 I think is OK.

How do you figure it should be "less"???
