I have an offset dish that I think is 76cm. It's currently locked on to Satmex5. I was wondering if I buy the STAB H100 can I just line the motor up again with Satmex5 and be able to rotate the dish? I'm new to this and just recently got the lock on satmex5, I've seen some stuff about true south but don't know what it is. My location is 38.248141 N, 77.468068 W. Thanks for the help.
TO properly set up a dish with a motor, you will first have to line it up with your due south satellite (in your case AMC5 at 79W is the closest). Next you will go to furtherst west and furthest east satellites you can see and fine tune your dish. Once you do that, you should be able to track all the satellites on the arc.
I can't get a clear shot at AMC 5 where my dish is located, do I just aim it at AMC 5 would be?(through my house) and then see if I can get the other satellites to work?
