HH Motors with Pole or U-Bolt mounting

Hi,

I was looking to purchase a complete FTA system. I've noticed that they come with the HH motors. It seems you have an option of pole mounted or u-bolts. I was under the impression that you needed u-bolts to mount the HH motor.

Can I order the pole mounted version and still use the HH motor?

Is one mounting preferable over the other for the HH motor?

Thanks,
JB

It's the dish that's availaible in pole mount, or flat mount.
You could buy a "flat mount" dish, remove the flat mount, and install an HH90 motor on that part of the dish. You then mount the motor to a pole using it's U bolts.

If you bought a pole mount dish, you can just take the U brackets and mount the motor, too. Either way works with the motor.

The bottom line is with no motor, then you'll need to decide if you mount the (stand alone dish) to a flat area (similar to the way Direct TV dishes mount), or on a pole.

OK, sounds good. I guess I'll be going with flat mount, since that's what Sadoun has in stock. I just wanted to make sure I would be ok with the motor.

This is what the dish's "flat mount" bracket will look like if you put the motor shaft on it:
