Need Help ASAP with my HH90

I got an HH 90, set it to 186 degree (180 + 6.71). I am not sure if I am doing any of this right, but I haven't been able to locate satellites on the arc yet. If my zipcode is 05060 can someone give me the measurements I should use to set up my system? I spent over 10 hours on this this weekend and I could use some help. Thanks!

I'm well West of you on the map (your zip code says Randolph, Vermont) and my deviation is +10. You must be at least +15 deviation units anyway...

Line up your stuff with the motor at reference or 0 degrees, with everything lined up at 195. Try to see if you can find AMC6, which is your southmost satellite almost right at that spot. Transponder 11792 has a big signal there.

Also, don't forget you need to adjust your motor and dish elevations according to the setup instructions and formula:

So, my latitude is 43, thats what the motor angle is, then i did the p-(45- lat.) , should I point it at 195 or point the dish/motor together at amc 6? I guess my biggest problem is setting the dish up properly. thanks

Wecome to the fun and joy of finding weak satellite signals...
yes, you'll want to line the whole mess up first up on 195 with the motor at zero.

Then, if you're using USALS have it move the dish to AMC6. It won't move much at all. Now move the whole dish & motor side to side, and the dish only up and down to find AMC6. Adjust for best signal.

Then use USALS to move the dish to as far east and west as you can find a satellite, and tweak for best signal at each end. Double check the center at AMC6.

It's best to have a small tv on the roof with the box and dish to align it.
