I live in phila and have an hh120 and a pansat receiver I pointed the dish to 187deg for a starting point and set the dish at 24 deg and trhe rotor at 36 deg.and I cannot get any reading on quality??? no matter where i point the rotor, I have the tp set for usals and have the diesqe set to off

As you are just starting I would suggest you first get used to pointing the dish manually without the motor. Familiarize yourself with the operation of the receiver and the scanning of various satellites. Once you have done that setting up a motorized dish will come a bit easier.
