Saving Sat Positions w/SM3D12

i have a pansat 2500A receiver and SM3D12 motor. using diseqc 1.2, i am only able to save two satellites in slots 27 and 28. if i save more satellites in any other positions 30, 31 etc., the motor won't move to those positions when i change to one of the channels on that sat. any ideas what could be wrong? thanks.

Interesting. I just noticed a similar with Lifetime Ultra and SM3D12. I usually use USALS to move to all sats, but on few I fine tuned it by nudging it east/west a little using 1.2 . I had to revert to using USALS on all of them just so it would move properly. Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe SM3D12 can only hold 30 sat positions using 1.2 and anything you try to store after that just doesn't get stored.

Too bad that 1-26 are programmed with european satellites.

my 312 went "funky" when I tried to mix 1.2 and USALS...
I'm back on USALS only at this time.

ONe possible way around it (at least in my case) is when using USALS you can actually modify satelite position. So by changing PAS9 for example from 58.0W to 58.1W you are getting the same effect as "nudging" with 1.2

i have also gotten some funky results when i mix USALS and 1.2. i think i could have made USALS work properly, but i have one problem. i have a ku-band LNB in the center and i strapped a DSS LNB to the side of it. so, all of the angles/settings for the DSS LNB have to be tweaked for each sat position. i was going to use USALS for the ku-band LNB and 1.2 for the DSS LNB...but some unpredictable things happened when i mixed both methods.

i too have been playing around with editing the satellite positions in USALS in order to "fool" the motor when i need to nudge it east/west. this is probably my best option at this point. thanks folks.

i got the same problem. I'm only able to save 2 sat position loc 27 and 28 with SM3D12 using Diseqc 1.2, Fortec Ultra. Motor wont respond to any sat. that saving in another slot 29, 30 etc... Did you find out the problem. please share. Anyone? HELP.
