help needed to install FORTEC STAR LifeTime and HH 100

I have been trying to install this system for several months. Your help is much appreciated. Please double check the parameters.

My location (ZIP 12203):
latitude: 42.70N
longitude: 73.87W
delination: 14.2

Parameters to set:
P 40.7
Azimuth 180
LNBF polarization tilt (skew = 0) 0
Dish Elevation = P - 60 + Latitude = 40.7 - 60 + 42.70 = 23.4

The satellites I have been trying to get to are Telstar 5 (97W) and Galaxy 3C (95W) to start. I try to use SBS6 (74W) to help me to find the true south. BUT I have not been able to find any of these three. By accident, I managed to locate EchoStar7 (119W) and to get 4 TV channels and 3 radio channels.

My questions

1) are the parameters used right for my location?
2) how accurate does one need to set up the antenna and motor? The compass included in the installation kit has rather poor accuracy.
3) how can I save the position for EchoStar7 and get the antenna back to this position?
4) what are the differences between USALS and 1.2? I do not know how to use the menu items in the set-up program. where can I find a detailed procedure to follow?
5) how to fine tune the position of the antenna to track more than 3 satelites?

Looking forward to your help

Many thanks

Ron
