SG2100 QUESTION

Hello I have a Fortec Star lifetime. I am setting up my system for multiple FTA satellites and have mounted two LNBF's. I have a universal linerar LNBF for FTA and a circular for free channels on dish or Bell. My motor is a SG2100. I have read that it is difficult to set up the universal linear LNBF on a Diseqc switch secondary to the 22khz tone needed to swith from lo to high. My question is if I use the universal linear LNBF can I swithch the settings on my reciever to only use it for lo setting in North america and still use my sg2100 motor to turn the dish without changing the seting from high to low and vice versa with the universal linear lnbf? Reason is On my reciever it has a setting for 22Khz off.
System is set like this now.
LNBF: UNIVERSAL
FREQ: 10750
22KHZ: OFF
LNBF POWER: ON

Re: SG2100 QUESTION

You should not have any problem with universal lnbf. No need to change the LO for N.America only. Set the LO at Universal ( low 9750, high 10600). The receiver will automatically switch the bands base on the freq you tune in.
Your existing settings is wrong. 10750 is for standard lnbf.
If you still insist to set the LO for N.America, you can change the LO to single, 10600.

Thanks I am just getting setup and wanted to make sure that it would not switch from High to Low with the Diseqc switch and receiver each time I switched from one LNBF to the other. Both LNBF are mounted on the same dish that why I was unsure. Thanks for the settings also.

There is no confict between 22khz tone and Diseqc. I have universal and linear lnbfs on my motorized dish (SG2100), a Diseqc 4 ways installed between the lnbfs and the SG2100. Everything works fine.
