Locating G13 & T7 with USALS

I can't get G13 at 127W or T7 at 129W. When I move my dish with USALS and scroll through the TP values none result in a quality reading. I did a power scan anyway. When I got quite a few of those little bars/blocks above th "V" and "H" lines, I thought I was good. My dreams were dashed when "0 programs found" appeard  Does this mean I am not tracking the Clarke belt exactly? Should I adjust any USALS parameters? If so, What? (After making sure mast is plumb)

latitude and longitude in receiver?
true south?
motor mount?
dish elevation?

I am getting all channels on other sats I have scanned. (T5, AMC3, AMC4, SatMex5, G10R). I'm not having problems pulling in these channels or transponders with USALS.

Re: Locating G13 & T7 with USALS

1. Galaxy13/Horizontal1 has no 24/24 active transponder on Ku. Feeds have been pop up on this sat occasionally. You will need to wait for an active feed presents on this sat in order to verify if your dish actually hits this sat.
2. Check T7 transponder list against lyngsat to ensure they are up to date. Some data transponders are 24/24 active so you can verify if the dish gets lock. For data feeds, you will not any any channels when scaning.
3. You can not change USALS. The diseqc h-h mount uses a formular to calculate the sat position base on long/lat. What is your truesouth sat?

Michael,
My longitude (true south) is 119.6W. SatMex 5 is the nearest satellite.
Should I try editing my TP list for T7 by adding one from Lyngsat?
Thanks very much.

T7

I should be getting tp1. It is in the TP list on the antenna setup menu: 3707 H 7.174. I added the 3719 freq tp. Still no quality.
Mast is plumb. Just checked it. Nothing else moved. Not to mention that all my other sats are quite strong. Also if it were a dish pointing issue I would get at least a sliver of quality on the T7 bird I would think :? . Any thoughts, comments, suggestions appreciated.

Re: T7

Ku dish can't get C-band signal. Use KU freq to verify your dish.
C-band: 4 digits freq. Ku band: 5 digits freq.

I get it. "digital" does not equal "Ku". C band can be digital. There are no Ku FTA channels on IA7. I am a knucklehead. ops:
Thanks.

Correct, ther ar no Ku FTA on IA7, but there are 2 starband transponders which are 24/24 active. You can use either one to verify your dish.

IA7

In the Antenna setup menu I set satellite scan to "ALL + D" and used TP 12038 V 21.000. Quality pegs at "99".
