Install Lifetime with HH120 problems

Please help or advise!
I tried to install my lifetime receiver with Stab HH120 yesterday but I got a lot of problems with that. First my receiver was shut down itself when I turn it on, I found out if I change the setting by set LNB Power to OFF position then my receiver was turn ON ok. it shut down when I turn it back ON(LNB Power). does any one have this problem? or can some one help me throug this? Here what i have:
Fortec Star Lifetime with Fortec LNB(witch it Universal)
30" fortect dish
HH120 rotor
RG6 cables
live in Chicago witch it Latitude: 41.83 ; Longitude: 87.75 ; Dish elevation: 23.53. what is my setting going to be?
PLEASE HELP

Try disconnecting the cable from the Motor/LNB then put LNB power on.
What will it do then?

If that works then check your cable ends for shorts. Maybe it is an autoprotection if it senses a short in the cable such as if the silver strands in the cable end touch the center copper.

If the receiver stays on after removing cable also try removing cable from motor and apply direct to LNB. See if it stays on.
Then, if it does, investigate a short in the motor.

If you read my other posts I received a bad Stab HH120 recently so maybe there is a bad lot.

Check the ends anyway to make sure you see no silver touching the copper.
Factories aren't perfect.

Then go straight to the LNB bypassing the motor and see what it does.

Let us know.

Excellent. I'm glad to hear it's working
Make sure you get a refund for that cable.
