A question for HH users.

I would like to know :
1)If a receiver (in particular, a FS Lifetime Ultra) will automatically move the dish according to which channel is selected?
2)If so, does it matter if it is a DiSEqC 1.2 or USAL compliant motor?

I have a BUD and you manually have to initiate the move to the sat you want and THEN select the channel for that sat. It gets old, Fast!

Re: A question for HH users.

1. Yes
2. No.

Most of Bud users slave DVB receiver to analog/4DTV one, which moves the dish and controlls the skew (polarities).
Diseqc 1.2 command can not move Bud.

So what is the difference between a FTA setup with a diSEqC 1.2 motor and a USALS motor?

Diseqc 1.2: you have to manually move the dish and program the sat positions.
USALS (aka diseqc 1.3): the receiver will automatically move the dish to your desired satellites (assuming your dish tracks the arc correctly and correct Long/Lat is keyed in).
