Tanji

It is item#1 here: http://sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Motors.htm

Actually the manufacturer is rating it to handle 140CM dishes. we decided here at Sadoun to rate it at 120CM for now because we don't have a 140cm dish to test it with. However, we have loaded the motor with more than 60lbs of weight and this sucker kept on moving. We were really impressed. Now don't take this as specs, because it is not.

What we have done we installed a 90cm dish on it and moved the motor East/West and the motor moved without a problem what so ever. It was very accurate in returning to stored locations using both DiSEqC 1.2, 1.3, USALS, and GOTO X. We started loading the LNBF feedarm with extra weights to simulate heavier dishes.

We kept adding an increments of 10 lbs until we reached over 60lbs  of extra weight and the motor kept running. Very impressive. That is of course a semi-engineering expriment to estimate maximum load to breaking point. We didn't want to go any further because we reached the level were we felt comfortable about this motor. Someday we will do the same experiment using the STAB HH100, 120, and the Motech SG2100 to compare the results. From my experiance with these motors with a 120CM dish, they might not match the performance of the SATCONTROL SM3D12.

How is that for a brief report?
